The beanie is worked from the bottom up. Stitches are cast on along the lower edge of the beanie, followed by a ribbed brim. The ribbing is worked twice the desired finished length, as it will be folded up. The ribbing is knitted using a single strand of handknit yarn mechera. After the ribbing, the crown of the beanie is worked using one strand of handknit yarn mechera held together with one strand of babyllama wool. When the beanie is finished, it is turned inside out so the reverse side faces out.
Recommended needles 6 mm circular needle (40 cm)
Materials 150 g handknit yarn mechera, aiayu yarn (50 g / 50 m) held together with 50 g babyllama wool, aiayu yarn (50 g / 150 m)
Gauge 15 stitches x 22 rows in stockinette stitch with both strands held together on 6 mm needles = 10 cm x 10 cm
Size one size, fits approximately head circumference 55-59 cm
